Name: Dana Joseph McGregor

Brief football playing history: South African Division 2 team, Cleveland City Stars 2007, 2008 DIV 2 National Champions 2008, US Futsal National team 2007.

Position: Midfield

Current Club and where: No club at the moment took a year off and started a Soccer/Futsal/Beach Soccer Ministry called Flo Ministry which stands for “Forever Loving Others”

Previous Club: Cleveland City Stars 2008

Testimony:
Experienced the Love of Jesus in 1997 at a Men’s retreat up in the mountains of California. Had a player on my College team (Fresno State University) that was a Christian and he lived by example, and I saw he had joy and peace with God and strong convictions about abstaining from sexual behavior before marriage. I really felt the Lord’s presence like never before at this retreat and I surrendered my life completely to God and gave Him my soccer carreer/goals/dreams and said do whatever you like....I knew He had a better plan then I could come up with. Once I believed in Christ my whole life changed, I fell in Love with Jesus and the word of God and singing to the Lord and he really transformed me. I have been walking with the Lord for 12 years and it has been amazing and my friendship get’s sweeter and sweeter as I grow up in Him.

How do you use football as a tool to share Jesus christ?
I use football to share Jesus a lot with youth. Our Flo ministry puts on a soccer camp where we bring in pro’s that share testimony’s with the youth and also have a beach soccer tournament and a Futsal tournament where we are also able to share a little as well.

What is player ministry to you?
Player ministry can be one on one, where you get to know someone on your team and be able to share your experience with God and hopefully to see teammates lives transformed by the power of God.

3 Key aspects of Player Ministry?
Sharing Testimony after getting to know players, Living a life on and off the field that represents Christ, and Praying for teammates coaches ect.

What/Where next?
Only the Lord knows, Am still very interested in playing competitively so hopefully the Lord opens some doors for me to play again somewhere. I still have a couple good years in me. Also seeing Flo ministries reach more and more youth on the central coast of California and seeing flo ministry do camps in every Nation spreading the good news.

Seek First the Kingdom of God and all these other things will be given to me....Matt 6:33
